Coming to your first lash appointment properly prepared can make all the difference in your lash extension experience.
- Arrive on time: this will give you enough time to ask any questions you need to ask while allowing the proper amount of time for your application. Late clients may be turned away or asked to reschedule.
-Arrive with a clean face: arriving with a clean face, free of makeup, will not only save time but will also allow the proper 24 hour water-free period needed after the application. You will not be able to use makeup or clean your eye area for 24 hours after the application.
-Arrive with no mascara: please come to your lash appointment with bare lashes. That means NO MASCARA on the day of your appointment. Having clean, dry, makeup free lashes will give you the best results with your eyelash extensions. This especially goes for waterproof mascara! If there is makeup residue on your lashes, the extensions will not adhere properly and could cut down on the lifetime of the extensions.
-Plan ahead: make sure you keep in mind that you will not be able to apply makeup or get your lashes wet for the first 24 hours. If you are getting your lashes for a special event or a beach vacation, make sure you schedule at least 2 days before.
-Do not consume caffeine: Avoid consuming caffeine prior to your appointment. You will be very still with your eyes closed for a long period of time and that can be made difficult if you have consumed caffeine.
-Gradually stop use of all growth serums: Lash growth serums will disrupt the lash cycle as well as cause retention issues for the lash extensions. We recommend gradually stopping the use of these growth serums over the course of a 1-2 week period.
-When in doubt, call us! If you are unsure about anything you have read or about your appointment time, please give us a call and we will be more than happy to answer any questions you have.
